Welcome to the Schatzhaus Erzgebirge!

Discover the rich treasures of Eibenstock and the Erzgebirge and embark on a journey through the history of the town and mining!

In the various themed worlds, our exhibitions show you the development of embroidery from the laborious beginnings of hand embroidery to mechanical embroidery machines and modern automatic machines. Experience the mighty machines in action during our demonstrations.

In other areas you can see the history of regional mining, moving landscapes and the fascinating life's work of the "Trumpold's Collection" with around 15,000 individual figures of Erzgebirge folk art and the "Krauß's Collection" of beautifully carved figures.

Changing special exhibitions invite you to discover something new again and again and to dive deeper into the history and artistry of the Erzgebirge.

A visit is worthwhile for young and old! We look forward to welcoming you!
